Thanks to the release of lockdown and the restart of Rugby training I have had a little less time on the computer and a little more time outside enjoying a bit of freedom. My day currently exists of waking up, walking to the end of the landing, and sitting in front of a computer for 8.5 hours a day and I don’t relish the prospect of doing that outside of these times. It’s important to use this time to be productive and sometimes that productivity needs to manifest in working every hour to ensure that next year when I’ll be working a lot less I will have the funds in place to do so.

Christmas is sort of just around the corner and I promised a fellow traveler that I would turn my photographs from the now not so recent New Zealand trip into a book to which she would add some text.

When publishing a book like this I tend to use the same company each time, mostly because they have never let me down and I find the interface to be really easy as I can just upload a pre-made template from InDesign. The company I use is Blurb, I think they just get what photographers look for in terms of quality and paper types. I’ve used them since 2010 when I created books for my degree modules and as recently as last year for a wedding album, I have let to be let down.

With very few weddings taking place this year I have not had the opportunity to curate images as frequently as I would normally and it was great fun arranging them.

It Looks like Lockdown 2 is just around the corner, If it hits I’ll return to creating artwork and I’ll keep the posts coming.
